Weekly Wellbeing with Learning Curve

Have you noticed that the TKIS student diary has so much more than dates and spaces to record and assignments and reminders? TKIS student diaries are also Learning Curve diaries that include many tips and exercises that help our students acquire the skills of social-emotional resilience and develop mental and physical wellbeing through the following areas.

Positive Emotions and Gratitude

Being in charge of your emotions through your strengths. Developing the aspects of emotional literacy and making a positive difference using your signature character strengths.

Engagement and Mindfulness

Connecting mindfully with yourself and the present moment. Developing the capacity to pay attention to what you need to pay attention to.

Relationships and Empathy

Showing others matter by doing good to feel good, feeling good to do good and being respectful. Looking to the future with optimism and hope.

Meaning and Purpose

Being passionate about something larger than yourself, doing the right thing and doing the thing right to make a positive difference in your world.

Accomplishment and Optimism

Adopting growth mindsets to deliberately practise more difficult approaches to grow your brain’s abilities so that you can achieve what you set out to do.

Health and Strengths

Having a healthy body and healthy mind by being regularly active, eating fresh whole foods and looking for what’s good in your life.

Learning Curve Online Wellbeing Program

Aside from the physical diary, TKIS families also have access to the Learning Curve online wellbeing program. To access this, visit https://learningcurve.com.au and log in with the username: Kooralbyn and the password: TKIS.  Here you will find weekly activities designed to grow the personal wellbeing of your child. Some of these insights might also inspire you.

To kick off our Weekly Wellbeing, we’d like to share a snippet of Communicating with Others (the Week 1 topic) from the Learning Curve online wellbeing program.
